When you buy Doctor’s Best Quercetin Bromelain , you receive 180 vegan capsules of a quercetin-bromelain complex. Per dosage you receive 500 mg quercetin as quercetin dihydrate and 2400 GDU (Gelatin Digesting Units) bromelain per gram (= 250 mg).
What is quercetin?
Quercetin belongs to the group of flavonoids and polyphenols and is a secondary plant substance. Many plants and foods contain quercetin, for example apples, berries, onions, green tea or red wine.
What is bromelain?
Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes found in the fruit and stem of pineapples . It has protein-splitting properties and can therefore break down proteins[1].
