What is vitamin E and what effect does it have?
Vitamin E, also known as tocopherol , is a fat-soluble vitamin and is important for protecting cells from oxidative stress. It is therefore also known as the cell protection vitamin.
Good sources of vitamin E are primarily vegetable oils. Foods such as nuts, seeds, butter and eggs provide vitamin E, but only in small quantities.
