What is Now Foods Advanced Gamma E Complex?
Now Foods Advanced Gamma E Complex contains vitamin E as D-alpha tocopherol, the main form of vitamin E gamma tocopherol and a tocotrienol complex.
The substances tocopherols and tocotrienols belong to the group of E vitamins. Their sub-forms (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) all have different effects on the body[1].
D-alpha-tocopherol is a vitamin E form of alpha-tocopherol. Alpha-tocopherol is one of eight natural chemical forms of vitamin E. However, it is the only form that meets human requirements.
D-alpha tocopherol is the naturally occurring form of alpha-tocopherol and has a particularly high bioavailability. [ 2 ] Compared to other forms of vitamin E, the body can absorb and utilize D-alpha tocopherol particularly well. Gamma tocopherol is also well absorbed by the body[3] .
