What is Now Foods DGL with Aloe Vera?
Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL) Extract was used in the production of Now Foods DGL with Aloe Vera . This is a licorice root extract from which the compound glycyrrhizin has been removed .
Licorice root is the root of the licorice plant, which belongs to the plant genus Glycyrrhiza glabra . The plant gets its name from its sweet taste. The sweetening power of the root is around 50 times higher than that of sugar. The extract of liquorice root is used to flavour tobacco products, drinks and food, or to make liquorice[1].
Now Foods DGL has been combined with aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) concentrate for additional beneficial properties. The concentrate has a ratio of 200:1, equivalent to 10,000 mg (10g) of fresh aloe vera gel.

USE
