What is Gotu Kola?
Gotu Kola belongs to the umbelliferous plant family and has the botanical name Centella asiatica, but is also known as Indian pennywort . It probably originates from the tropical and subtropical regions of East and South Asia, but can now be found in almost all tropical regions of the world. In Central Europe, Gotu Kula is primarily known as a superfood [1 ] and the above-ground parts of Gotu Kola are particularly popular. The valuable gotu kola extract is made from these.2]
