When you buy Pycnogenol from Healthy Origins, you receive 60 vegan capsules of the active ingredient Pycnogenol®. One capsule contains a dosage of 100 mg Pycnogenol® with 70% procyanidins.

What is Pycnogenol®?

Pycnogenol® is a patented and standardized extract obtained from the French maritime pine (Pinus pinaster). It contains a combination of natural antioxidants procyanidins, bioflavonoids and phenolic acid^[1].

Proanthocyanidins, also known as oligomeric procyanidins , belong to the group of flavonoids^[2].

Bioflavonoids belong to the group of water-soluble plant pigments and are responsible for the metabolism of many plants. Together with phenolic acids , they are classified as polyphenols ^[3].

Phenolic acids or polyphenols are secondary plant substances. Chemically , phenolic acids are aromatic organic compounds. Herbs such as sage, lemon balm or dandelion, but also berries such as raspberries or blueberries, contain a lot of phenolic acids^[4].

• Pycnogenol 100mg
• thereof procyanidins 70mg

Ingredients: French maritime pine bark extract (Pinus maritima; standardized to approx. 70% procyanidins), coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (capsule); water, anti-caking agent: calcium palmitate

APPLICATION

Healthy Origins recommends taking one (1) veg. capsule one (1) to two (2) times daily, preferably with a meal. Or after consultation with your doctor/healthcare practitioner.
