What is White Willow Bark?
White Willow is known in German-speaking countries under the name “Silber-Weide” (Salix alba). However, there are around 500 different willow species in total, which are found all over the world, particularly in Central Europe and on the coast. What are the effects of willow bark?
Willow bark is particularly popular due to its ingredients: flavonoids, caffeic acid derivatives and salicylates and in particular the phenol glucoside salicin.
