What is Chasteberry Fruit?
Chasteberry fruit is also known as monk’s pepper. The Latin name “Agnus castus” means “chaste lamb” and the plant owes its name to the monks of the Middle Ages, who supposedly ate it because it would curb sexual desire.
The monk’s pepper is a 3 to 5 meter tall shrub that differs from other plants in its large, cross-opposite leaves . The flowering period is between September and October[1].
In addition to Full Spectrum Chasteberry Fruit , you can also find other plant extracts from Swanson such as Swanson, Black Ginger Extract or Swanson, Magnolia Bark in our store.
