Phosphatidylserine belongs to the group of phosphoglycerides, also known as phospholipids , which includes phosphatidylcholine [1].
Phosphatidylserine is produced in the human body from phosphatidylethanalamine , but dietary intake is also important. Good sources of phosphatidylserine are primarily animal foods such as fish and meat. Plant sources are primarily white beans, soybeans and sunflower seeds[2].
